Formerly the Kara and Dave project, this local quartet performs their own take on jazz favorites.
3:00 – 4:00 pm – Ira Twangs
Banjo player and Philadelphia native Ira “Twangs” Chaiffetz performs bluegrass, jazz, Dixieland and American old-time music.
The McConnell Chamber Chorale is in its first year, under the direction of Jim Myers. The ensemble started to meet in September, 2016, as an opportunity for community singers to participate in a broad range of concert and chamber choral literature including madrigals and motets, art and folk songs, alongside works by Romantic, contemporary and Broadway composers.
5:30 – 7:30 pm – New Pollution
Closing out the first night of the Arts Festival is New Pollution, an original, neo-soul band from Columbus. They are currently working on their newest album “Waiting for the Bus.” You can check out music from their previous release “The City” here. Check out the art vendors as the first day of the festival comes to a close and then head over to the stage for an evening of funk and soul.
2:00 – 4:00 pm – Songs at the Center Songwriters
Worthington native Eric Gnezda can be seen each week as the host of Songs at the Center, a Columbus-based television show now being broadcast on over 150 stations across the country.
